The Penkridge 10K 2018
Fun and friendly is the order of the day at The Penkridge 10K off road event. All abilities of runners are welcomed and catered for at this cracking event in our race series.
A lovely multi terrain route has been confirmed taking in the beautiful Penkridge countryside.
The route follows a 10k ish loop around the fields and countryside of Penkridge and The Rodbaston Hall Estate. With trails, fields, towpath and tarmac this event has something for every type of runner.
This scenic route flows through the Rodbaston Hall estate then heads off into the surrounding countryside. Follow the Staffs & Worcester Canal where at the first bridge you'll climb up onto the old abandoned Littleton Colliery Railway Line.
Following the Line you'll soon find your legs refreshed at the water crossing (don't panic, just knee high!) and deep in the beauty of the Staffordshire countryside. With a stile or two across the fields you head back into the Rodbaston grounds for the finish past the beautiful Rodbaston Hall itself.

All runners get a custom made Rodbaston 10K race medal
We are using Rodbaston Hall & South Staffs College Rodbaston Campus for the start of the race. This allows the race easy access to the surrounding fields and tracks as you head out of Penkridge. Plenty of free car parking is included with your entry.

Due to the remote location of this event we regret that there will be no changing or shower facilities so please arrive ‘race-ready’.
These are provided at the onsite visitors centre. Please respect these facilities and consider the local environment and other site users on the day.
Timing & Results:
Fun is the order of the day and results will be gun timed. But for those serious runners we shall of course publish results on our website as usual.

There will be a water station approx halfway around the course.
Race Number & Race Details:
All race numbers are allocated and given out on the day. Collect yours from the registration area which opens at 09.00am, this is inside the onsite cafe. Please give yourself enough time to collect yours and fill in the reverse before the start.
Full race details are emailed out to each runner on sign up. It is your responsibility to ensure we have your correct email address otherwise you will miss this vital information. *Please check your spam / junk folder just in case*
After your hard earned efforts your custom made Penkridge 10K medal will be handed to you in the finish area.
We are not expecting to have capacity for entries on the day.
Online entries in advance are £16 (plus small card processing fee)
Minimum age 14yrs.

Refreshments & Food:
Hot & cold meals, snacks and drinks are available to purchase before and afterwards at the onsite café. Fresh Costa Coffee is served all day. The cafe is also the registration area so you can keep warm before the race.
All entries are non-refundable. The staging of events have to be booked and paid for many months in advance. We are however pleased to offer a transfer service. We can swap your Penkridge 10K place to a friend / relative / team mate etc but you must handle any reimbursement of funds direct with that person, WE ONLY SWAP THE RUNNERS ENTRY DETAILS OVER.
*This transfer service is not compatable with strangers off the waiting list, nor can entries be deferred to another year / event*
*To transfer your place - Although a simple process, this can ONLY be done on race day morning at the registration area.
There is a £1 admin fee payable in cash. You do not need attend, but your replacement MUST arrive at registration BEFORE 10AM and once signed in, we shall complete the transfer.
You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions which would hinder your run or cause the race organiser concern. Medical support will be present on the day. You are reminded not to run if you feel ill or have a cold or flu on race day as this can be extremely dangerous. Do not take part if you have any respiratory illness or recent medical condition.
